What to know before sending your tip.

When will my effect play?

Effects play while the stream is live. Once your donation is received, its effect is added to the queue. Alerts play one at a time in the order they arrive, so your effect starts after any earlier alerts have finished.

How many times will my sound effect play?

Your selected sound effect plays once per donation. Tipping a larger amount does not make it repeat.

Will my sound effect also trigger text to speech?

No. A sound-code donation plays the selected sound instead of the usual donation chime. The sound code is not read aloud, even for tips of €10 or more. To send a spoken message, use the Text to speech page instead.

Will my message appear on stream?

A tip of €1 or more can show an approved message of up to 150 characters during the live stream. Leave Ko-fi’s “Private message” checkbox unticked. Messages are subject to moderation; private or blocked messages won’t appear or be read aloud.

How does text to speech work?

Tip at least €10 with an approved public message of up to 150 characters. Choose the Female or Male voice on the Text to speech page. Female is the default if you don’t choose a voice. The voice code is added automatically and does not count towards the 150-character limit.

Does my tip help the community goal?

Yes. One-off tips support the stream and count towards the community goal, helping unlock rewards everyone can enjoy.

Can I request lighting already?

Lighting control is being prepared, with a planned minimum tip of €5. Please wait until the Lighting page has the available effects and instructions before tipping for it.

Are tips refundable?

Tips are non-refundable. Check your message, selected effect and amount before sending your tip.
